Frequently Asked Questions
You should have at least one extra layer of clothing for the trip than you would otherwise have for the day if staying on land. Dress down. This is an authentic lobster fishing experience! Staying “clean” on a lobster boat is a relative term!
Where do I park?
You can park your vehicle on the side of the main road or on Wharf Road.
How will I get on the boat?
Depending on how high or low the tide is, we will load the boat 3 different ways. You may need to climb down the ladder on the side of the wharf, take a small skiff boat out to the larger tour boat or use the town boat ramp. We will let you know how you will get on the boat after you book.
Is there a restroom on the boat?
There are no restrooms on the boat; however, we are prepared to accommodate for emergencies!
What happens if I schedule a trip but the weather is bad?
This is supposed to be an enjoyable experience! In the event of unfavorable weather we will do our best to reschedule when the weather improves, often the next day.
Will we see any whales, porpoises or dolphins?
It is very unlikely that we will see a whale or a dolphin but there is a small chance to see a porpoise if the conditions are right.
Will I get seasick?
It is very unlikely that one would feel seasick given the stability of the 48′ boat that we will be on. One should expect relatively calm weather for most or all of the trip.
